Electrostatic precipitator for household wood firing boiler
Preisler, Lukáš ; Skála, Zdeněk (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
This diploma thesis aims on the development of an experimental electrostatic precipitator for household wood firing boiler. First, a literature review was conducted, aiming on the description of the precipitator using physical relations and, on its basis, a numerical model was created. By applying the numerical model, the precipitator configuration was designed as well as the engineering design of the whole system. The chosen configuration was validated by measurement using the corona discharge starting at voltage of 6,5 kV. By applying modifications, the electrostatic precipitator was built and tested during a running boiler. Due to flue gas condensation and load, corona discharge did not initiate, and the parameters were not validated. Modifications in the construction design were suggested leading to launch the electrostatic precipitator. The main requirement is a surface finishing of wire hinging components.
Design and development of the electrostatic precipitator
Kvasnička, Karel ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of an electrostatic precipitator and familiarization with the problems of separation on these separators. The aim of this work is to construct a functional model of an electrostatic precipitator. The principle of operation and design will be described. In addition, the design of a separator is elaborated, which was subsequently realized and experimentally verified in the CVVOZE Power Laboratories Research Infrastructure. The first part deals with the description of the legislation on air protection, the most frequent input material of separators and descriptions of the basic types of separators. In addition, the electric separator, its area of use, construction and individual components, as well as the undesirable operating state of the separator, are further elaborated. In the second part are presented the equations and calculations for the design of the separator. In the next part, the separator designer and his laboratory tests are described. The separator was subjected to basic voltage tests from the viewpoint of its operating voltage. Its functionality fits the realized experiments up to 30 kV. On the basis of this work and the production of the equipment, it is possible in the future to test the properties of flue gases and other gases.
Electrostatic precipitator for wood firing stoves
Brázda, Kryštof ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the design of an electrostatic precipitator for a domestic automatic wood fuel boiler. The individual chapters describe the products of the combustion process, the principles of charging dust particles, describe existing patents related to electrostatic precipitators, commercial electrostatic precipitators and the last part of the work calculates a mathematical model, according to which previously designed and evaluated separator variants were designed and evaluated. Based on the results, the optimal variant of the electrostatic precipitator designed for a domestic boiler is then selected.
Small-scale electrostatic precipitator for domestic wood-burning appliances
Kantor, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
Master thesis deals with design of electrostatic precipitator for domestic wood-burning appliances. In the opening chapters, principles of electrostatic precipitation are described and a study of existing electrostatic precipitators for domestic combustion devices is made. In the practical part of the thesis, a mathematical model of electrostatic precipitator was created. Based on the mathematical model, electrostatic precipitator was designed and its performance parameters predicted.
